Beginnings

There's nothing as exciting and frightening as a blank page - or you'd think so if you'd seen the length of time it's taken to get something on this one! What is it about a blinking cursor?

When I won a national poetry competition last month, I decided to spend the money on a new website for writing - and a website needs a blog, especially as I don't know (yet) how to edit html.

I'm halfway through a second novel for young adults, which is taking me back to 1962, the music, the fashions and the pre-Beatles boredom, and on to Mosh, a night club in Leicester - had a great time there a few weeks ago. I love finding out what's going to happen next. The poetry is taking a back seat while the novel is at this stage, but I'll get back to it soon.

Glad to see you've joined the world of blogging. I'll keep reading if you keep writing.
